Our office offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of each patient. Our services include:

Comprehensive Eye Exams:
A comprehensive exam in our office will generally take an hour to an hour and a half to complete. It will include determination of a spectacle prescription, measurements of eye muscle balance and coordination, depth perception, color vision, a visual field test to monitor peripheral and central vision, and ocular health examination for eye diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Five separate tests are used to check for glaucoma including analysis of retinal nerve fiber layer that studies report can identify open angle glaucoma 4 to 6 years before other signs of the disease show up. Dilation of the pupil to better examine the retina is also part of the comprehensive eye examine. Dr. Tope utilizes a digital imaging camera to take photos of the interior and exterior eye structures during the examination. These images are kept on file to compare from one visit to the next.

Pre and/or Post Op Care:
Our office provides pre and/or post-op care for cataract and refractive (LASIK and RK) surgeries. Dr. Tope works closely with several eye surgeons (cataract, retinal, oculoplasty) in the area to provide you with complete, quality care.

Fitting of Contact Lenses:
Our office fits soft, silicone hydrogel, and gas permeable contact lenses. New lens materials and technology allows more people to enjoy contact lenses than ever. Lens are available to correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, and presbyopia. Even if you are over 40 years old and need “bifocals”, multifocal contact lenses are available to help you see both distance and near. Many of the soft and silicone hydrogel contact lenses are available in daily disposable, and 1 to 3 month planned replacement modalities. Some of the advanced silicone hydrogel lenses are approved for up to 30 days continuous wear. Colored contact lenses are also available for certain prescriptions.
